Current rules in India
The Government of India says the national online-gaming framework prohibits all online money games, whether described as skill or chance. Advertising, promotion, facilitation and related payment processing are also prohibited. The 2026 Rules took effect on 1 May 2026.
Financial and fraud safety
Do not deposit or stake money on a money-game service. Never send another payment to “unlock” a withdrawal, complete KYC or release a bonus. For suspected fraud, contact the bank, call 1930 and report at cybercrime.gov.in.
Loss of control or distress
